WEST LEBANON, Ind. -- Mrs. L. Marie Ping, 70, of Lafayette, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital there at 2 a.m. Friday (April 17, 1970). She had been ill for about five years. Born in Warren County at Marshfield on July 10, 1899, she was the daughter of John and Jessie Jordan Long. She was married on July 28, 1918 in Danville to Charles Ray Ping, who survives. A member of the former Free Methodist Church of Marshfield, Mrs. Ping had lived in Lafayette for the past 10 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hudson of Attica and Mrs. Louise Pitcock of Summer Shade, Ky.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anna McClure of Bloomington, Ill. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Chapel in West Lebanon, with the Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Friends will be received at the chapel after 4 p.m. Sunday.   --typed by Walt W
