Mrs. Walker Pizter, 70, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday at her home near Covington, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. last Sunday at the Salem Church. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
Mrs. Pitzer was born in Warren County April 7, 1876, daughter of Broad and Sarah Gray Cole, and spent all her life in Fountain and Warren Counties. She was married Aug 5, 1894 to Walker Pitzer, who survives. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Also surviving are the following children: Charles, near Veedersburg; Lawrence, near Attica; Chester, at home; Mrs. Edith Harper, Attica; William Herman, Covington; Mrs. Mildred Helena Cole, St. John, Indiana; and Mrs. Evelyn Luella Beump, Danville; a brother, William Cole, Attica; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Gladys Linn preceded her in death. --- transcribed by kbz
