Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Hannibal Pogue, 86, a resident of Danville most of his life, died this morning (Aug. 5, 1966) in an out-of-town hospital where he had been a patient four days. He had previously been a patient in the Vermilion Nursing Home for several years. He was born Jan. 12, 1880, in Mellott, Ind., a son of Frank and Alvira Hicks Pogue. A retired bricklayer, he was single. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Jessie Henderson of Chicago. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the Mellott Christian Church when young. Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home 7-9 p. m. Saturday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don C. Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery at Newtown, Ind.   --typed by Walt W
