POGUE, Ora - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

MELLOTT – Ora M. Pogue, 76, formerly of Mellott, died Thursday morning in Veteran’s Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient for 4½ years. He was a graduate of Mellott High School and attended DePauw University at Greencastle. Mr. Pogue taught several years and was employed by National Homes at Lafayette until retirement. Born Dec. 25, 1900, at Mellott, he was a son of John A. and Josephine Moore Pogue. Surviving are nieces and nephews. Two sisters are deceased. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Barrick & Son Funeral Home at Danville, Ill., with burial in Newtown Cemetery.   – jlr
