Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

PARIS - Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home in Paris for Clarence C. Poole, 73, of Paris Route 6. He died Saturday morning (Aug. 19, 1978) at his home. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgar Cemetery. Poole was a retired farmer. Born March 2, 1905, in Parke County, Ind., he was a son of Grant and Jessie Mae McFan (McFrank) Poole. On March 17, 1928, in Rockville, Ind., he married Mildred Irene Todd. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Charles A. of Paris; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Leeman of Paris and Mrs. Clarice Miller of Beecher City, Ill.; two brothers, Paul of Thorntown, Ind., and Everett of Cayuga, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Heslar of Ladoga, Ind., and Mrs. Nellie Busenbark of Waveland, Ind.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.   -- jlr
