Attica – Ira Kenneth Poole, 83, of Rosewalk Village 1903 Union St, Lafayette, died there at 5:30 a.m. Saturday Aug 2, 2003.  Born Jan 27, 1920 in Jasper County, he attended Monon schools and had lived in Francesville and Delphi and later moved to Lafayette. Mr. Poole was a truck driver for Peter Lowry in Francesville.  Later, he worked for 27 years at National Homes in Lafayette, also as a truck driver.  He was a member of Teamsters Union 135 and Moose Lodge 1529 and Eagles Lodge in Lafayette.  He enjoyed golf. Surviving are a brother, Jack W. Poole (wife: Delores) of Spring, Texas and three sisters, Helen May (husband: Rudy) of Auburndale Fla; Virginia Brunnemer (husband: Robert) of Indianapolis and Pauline Johnson (husband: Vaughn) of Spencer.

Poole, Ira K – Friends may call at Maus Funeral Home, Attica 4-8 p.m. today Aug 4. Service in Maus Chapel at 10 am. Tuesday Aug 5. Robert Brunnemer officiating. Interment Bethel Cemetery, Attica.  Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mary Poole of Indianapolis, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a brother, Ivan Poole. Memorial contributions may be made to the American CancerSociety.
