After skimping through the actual holiday period in second place, Hoosier motorists went out of control Tuesday and chalked up six deaths during the day and evening against four drownings. Traffic deaths now lead the list from last Saturday morning through last evening with 13 traffic deaths and twelve drownings according to the Associated Press.
  A train-auto crash last night in the Vermillion County town of Cayuga killed a man, his wife and their 4 year old niece. Three other persons died in traffic crashes and four drowned as torrid temperatures sent Hoosiers to bathing beaches seeking relief.
  The victims in the Cayuga crash were William Porter, 38, his wife, Florence, 31, and the niece, Carol Jean Porter. The Porters lived on Route 5, Danville, Ill. – thanks to S&E

A series of post-holiday accidents Tuesday and Tuesday night took 10 lives in Indiana.  A train-auto crash Tuesday night in the Vermillion County town of Cayuga killed a man, his wife and their four-year-old niece...
