Hoopeston, Ill.—Lawrence A. Potts, 84, formerly of Hoopeston, died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1989 in his home at 1915 Seminole Blvd., Lot 193, Largo, Fla.  He was born Aug. 6, 1904 in Lemont, Ill., the son of George T. and Cora Belle Morrow Potts. He was married July 27, 1929 in Covington to Margaret Cleveland, who survives.   He was a tool and die maker at FMC in Hoopeston for 40 years, retiring in 1969. He was an active member of the First Christian Church in Hoopeston, served many years as a deacon and was an emeritus member of the board. He was a member and past master in 1949 of the Star Lodge 709 F&AM, a member and past worthy patron in 1950 of OES Chapter 448, both of Hoopeston. Also he was a life member of Danville Scottish Rite.     The body will be cremated in Florida. Memorial service and burial at Floral Hill Cemetery at Hoopeston will be announced later. – thanks to s
