Attica, Ind., March 1 - W. H. Powers, well known hardware merchant, dropped dead at his place of business in this city at noon last Monday. He was 63 years old and a stroke of apoplexy caused death. Mr. Powers had been in business here for 18 years, coming to Attica from Bluffton, Ind., where he was formerly an architect. He was a member of the Elks' lodge No. 143 at Lafayette, and a member of the Attica Kiwanis club. His widow and one daughter, Margaret, survive.
