WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) — Miss Helen F. Pugh, 79, of 4 W. Third, died at 8:05 a. m. today (Feb. 1, 1977) at the Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica. She had resided there since Nov. 6, 1976, and had been ill a year and a half. She was a school teacher, having taught at Williamsport, Judyville, Warsaw and Andrews. She retired in 1955. Born Jan. 11, 1898, in West Lebanon, she was the daughter of Dr. Florin H. and Sarah Schilt Pugh. A resident of Warren County all her life, she had resided in Williamsport since 1903. She was a 1915 graduate of Williamsport High. She graduated from Purdue University and did graduate work at Indiana State University. She was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church where she was organist, a Sunday school teacher and served in several church board positions. She was a member of the Williamsport Order of Eastern Star, Indiana State Teachers Association and National Teachers Association. Survivors include a brother, Herbert M. of Williamsport; and a niece, Miss Jane Pugh of Downers Grove, Ill. She was preceded in death by a brother, Emerson. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Friday at the Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport, with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.   --typed by Walt W
