Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Harry F. Purnell, 63, a former Danville resident, died Thursday (May 11, 1967) in Korat, Thailand, where he was employed as a construction engineer for a Seattle, Wash., firm. He had been employed in the far East about 20 years. He was a native of Veedersburg, Ind., and had been reared in Danville. Surviving are the widow, Eleanor of Thailand; three sons, William, David and Dan, all of Seattle, and three grandchildren. Also, six sisters, Mrs. Irwin Blake, Mrs. Cliff McBride and Mrs. Bert Smiley all of Washington state, and Mrs. Bess Hamilton, Mrs. Ethel Welsch and Mrs. Carl Goddard all of Danville, and a brother, Roy Purnell of California. He had served in the Navy. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.   --typed by Walt W
