-- Mrs. Sam (Odessa Furr) Purnell of Veedersburg, mother of Fred S. Purnell congressman from this district died Monday at 12 o'clock at since a week ago Sunday and had been critically ill the past two or three days. Swas not regarded as serious until lately. The deceased was 55 years old a member of the Christian Church and had lived most of her life in Fountain County. She is survived besides her husband by one sister, Mrs. IM Kerr of Veedersburg and 3 children, Fred S. Purnell now of Washington, Miss Helen residing at home and Mrs. Warner Booe of DuPont, Fla. Funeral arrangements are not completed.   -- kbz
