Mildred 'Millie' J. Pycke, 69, Attica, died 4:56 p.m. Tuesday in Kindred Hospital, Greenwood. Mrs. Pycke formerly worked for Radio Material Corp. and Attica IGA. For the past 30 years, she worked as a radio dispatch operator for the former Attica Radio Room and now presently the E911 Center for Fountain and Warren counties. She retired in July of this year. Her memberships included Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 3318 at Attica. She was a Veedersburg High School graduate. Mrs. Pycke was born June 1, 1934, at Veedersburg, to Russell and Leona Kennedy Mears. She married Paul Pycke on Dec. 11, 1954, at Williamsport. He survives. Also surviving are a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. A son, Stephen, died in 1978. Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Friday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. G. Scott Pattison officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today in the funeral home, with a VFW Ladies Auxiliary service at 7:45 p.m. Memorials may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3318 of Attica. - - transcribed by kbz
