Attica—Ruth Cheak Rabb, 88, formerly of 606 Summit St., Attica, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, June 12, 1989, in Regency Place in Lafayette. She had been a patient there for two and one half years.

  She was born Jan. 6, 1901, the daughter of Jasper and Carrie Lewis Cheak. She was a native of Attica, graduated from Attica High School and lived there most of her life. She was married Dec. 24, 1918 in Attica, to Rex Rabb Sr., who preceded her in death in 1976. He had been a foreman at Harrison Steel Castings Co., Attica, for 50 years.

  She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Attica; Women’s Society of Christian Service; Prayer Group; Literary Club and Senior Citizens.

  Surviving are a son, Larry, Bonita Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rex Jr., a daughter, Margaret, two brothers and a sister.

  Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday in Attica United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roy Laudermilk officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
