REEVES, Mae Danberry

Mae Danberry Reeves of Brazil, age 82, died Saturday morning, May 8, in Clay County Hospital. She was born in Parke County near Lena, September 28, 1899, the daughter of Thomas Benjamin and Mary V. McBride Danberry. February 4, 1918, she married Carl C. Reeves, who died October 10, 1981. Mrs. Reeves was a member of the Predestination Baptist Church. She and her husband operated a restaurant in Brazil from 1944 to 1957.

  Surviving are three daughters, Lelia E. Wylie and Mary Nell McDonough, both of Brazil, and Janet R. Pierce of Harmony; three sons, Forest A. of Knightsville, Marvin C. of Whitestown and Herschel H. of Cloverdale; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Elders Walter Allee, Jack Allee and James O. Wylie officiating. Burial was in Owen Valley Cemetery in Clay County.- s
