MELLOTT— Mrs. Elizabeth Leighty Rice, age 73, died at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at the Clinton County Hospital in Frankfort, shortly after admission. Mrs. Rice was born Feb. 3, 1897, in Mellott, the daughter of James and Lilly Leighty. She was married to Ira W. Rice of Mellott in 1915, and he preceded her in death last Monday. Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Betty Lou) Trees of Frankfort, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Goodin Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial was in Bunnell Cemetery at Frankfort. --typed by Walt W 1970
