(CNS) – John Glenn Rice, 26, of 104 E. Washington, Attica, died at 6 a.m. yesterday (Sept. 28, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette of injuriess ustained in a one-car accident two and a half miles north of Attica on the River Road. (Story on Page 11.) Born July 21, 1943, in West Labanon, he was the osn of John W. and Josephine Koekenburg Rice. He was married Nov. 16, 1963, at Riverside to Donna Jean Buster, who survives. A graduate of Attica High, he had resided in Fort Wayne for five and a half years, returning to Attica seven months ago. He had attended Purdue Extension University and was employed by the Western and Southern Insurance Co. Since returning to Attica, he had been an agent for the Great Central Insurance Co. Mr. Rice was a member of the EUB Church, Eagles Lodge and National Guard, Company A, at Attica for several years. Survivors include a daughter, Jona Gwen at home; his parents of Legionier; two brothers, Vernon and Larry, both of Legionier; and a paternal grandmother, Mrs. Emma Rice of Attica. Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry Randolph will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 4 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
