Marian B. Rice of Hillsboro, age 84, died Wednesday evening, May 4, in Covington Manor Nursing Home. She was born at Kingman, November 21, 1898, the daughter of Campbell and Carrie Foster Cooper. She was the widow of Harry Rice, who died January 30, 1962. Mrs. Rice was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Hillsboro American Legion Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers. She was a 1917 graduate of Hillsboro High School.

  Surviving are two sons, Merlin of Crawfordsville and Emery E. of Lafayette; a sister, Blanche Shirley of Lafayette, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The body was taken from Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro to the Hillsboro United Methodist Church for funeral services Saturday afternoon with Rev. Gil Hubbard officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. – s
