RICHARDSON, Noah Henry

Noah Henry Richardson, age 79, a retired coal miner, died unexpectedly following a cerebral hemorrhage at 6:45 a. m. Monday, April 11, at his home, west of Cates. He had been in ill health. Born Sept. 22, 1880, in Fountain County, he was the son of Claborn and Sarah Allen Richardson. On Jan. 12, 1904, he married the former Eva Cook who died Dec. 9, 1957. Mr. Richardson was a member of the United Mine Workers Union. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sibyl Holland of Kingman and Miss Opal Richardson at home; a son, Stanford of Urbana, Ill.; two brothers, William and Jesse, both of Covington Rt. 1, and two sisters, Mrs. Ola Hathaway of Kingman Rt. 2 and Mrs. Florence Moore of Danville, Ill. There are two grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were six sisters. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon, April 13, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Cates. The Rev. L. R. West officiated. Burial was in Cooper's Cemetery with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in charge.   --typed by Walt W
