RICHEY, Jennie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Jennie M. Richey of Veedersburg, age 95, died Tuesday night, August 30, at the home of her son, Melvin Richey Jr., where she lived. She was born in Edgar County, Illinois, June 16, 1888, the daughter of Henry and Mary Glatthaar Augustus. August 5, 1908, she married Melvin Dewitt Richey, who died January 30, 1979. She was a member of Belle Ridge United Brethren Church near Paris, Illinois.

  Also surviving are three daughters, Vona Fulkerson of Kingman, Mary Clendenen of Monticello and Audrey Carroll of Pana, Illinois; two other sons, David of Covington and Clarence of Marshall, Illinois; 44 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. Cecil Carroll officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
