COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) --- Harry J. Ricketts, 78, of Covington Route 2, died at 5 p.m. today (Oct. 1, 1968), in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville where he had been a patient two weeks. Born July 26, 1890, in Foster, Ind., he was a son of Benjamin W. and Florence Emma Miller Ricketts. He was single. Surviving are a brother, Albert C. Ricketts of Danville Route 5; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Murphy of Covington Route 2, Mrs. Nora Van Pelt of Covington, Mrs. Bessie Brier of Lafayette, Mrs. Eva Wilson of Attica Route 2 and Mrs. Fern Ward of Covington Route 3, and several nieces and nephews. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Grover Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Upper Mound Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and night.

COVINGTON -- Harry James Ricketts, of Rt. 2, Covington, died Tuesday at 5 a.m. at the veterans' Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient for two weeks. Mr. Ricketts was born July 26, 1890, in Foster, the son of Benjamin W. and Florence Emma Miller Ricketts. He never married. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Murphy, Rt. 2, Covington; Mrs. Nora VanPelt, Covington; Mrs. Bessie Brier, Lafayette; Mrs. Eva Wilson, Rt. 2, Attica; and Mrs. Fern Ward, Rt. 3, Covington; and one brother, Albert C. Ricketts, of Rt. 5, Danville, Ill. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home, with Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial will be in Upper Mound Cemetery, near Covington. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home.
