Mellott, Feb 5 – Isaac Riley, of this place passed away Saturday night at 12:15 on his 87th birthday. Death was due to dropsy and complication of disease and advanced age. Mr. Riley was highly respected and a splendid citizen. He had moved from the country to town several years ago. His life has been spent in this community. Last fall Mr. Riley and wife celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. He leaves a wife, one son, Fred Riley; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Babb and five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Pickering of Hillsboro, Mrs. Nate Neal of Mellott and one brother, Doc Riley of Hillsboro. The funeral services will be held at the Mellott South Christian Church with Rev. Newlin of Bicknell, Ind in charge. Interment will be made at Mellott. – kbz
