Dorothy E. (Slabaugh) Ringer, 82, 311 Lincoln St, Williamsport died at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis at 6:45 a.m. Friday, Nov 7. She had been ill since August. She was born in Ligoneer, Ind, Dec 4, 1903, the daughter of Willard and Zuilla Latta Slabaugh. She graduated from Ligoneer HS and Indiana Univeristy in 1926. She married in 1929 in Indianapolis to Alfred V. Ringer, a lawyer in Williamsport for 60 years. He preceded her in death August 19. She was a school teacher and taught art and graphics in schools in Noble County and Indianapolis. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Williamsport, Community Hospital Guild, a charter member of the Phi Iota Psi Sorority, member of Order of Eastern Star, Williamsport Chapter, her colloge sorority Sigma Kapp and various local clubs. Surviving are two sons, Thomas L. Ringer, Malibu, Calif; Dr. William A Ringer, Rt 4, Attica; a daughter, Joan R. Larson, Williamsport; a brother, Forrest Slabaugh, Ligoneer; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services wer eheld at 11 a.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, wtih Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. Burial in Highland Cemetery. Those so desiring may contribute in memorial to Community Hospital.
