Mrs. Mary Gainor Ritchey, 87, of Chadron, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, Sept 17, 1957 in the hospital at Chadron, where she had been a patient for three and one half weeks.  Mrs. Ritchey was born July 25, 1870 in Warren County, Indiana, the daughter of Isaac F. and Mary Elizabeth Watkins Romine. She was married to Jacob H. Ritchey Sept 12, 1889 and he preceded her in death on Jan 11, 1946. She spent her early life in and around Warren County and Covington.  In October 1910 she and her children moved to Chadron and since 1949 she has lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Bartlett of Cheyenne; one son, Paul A. Ritchey of Ft. Ft. Knox, Ky; six grandchildren, Bradford L. Bartlett of Denver; Mrs. Thomas Medcalf of Osawatomie, Kan; Mrs. Harry H. Kreglo of Huntington, W Va; Paul Ritchey, Jr, of Lansing, Mich; Mrs. Goerge Chapman of Indianapolis and Jon Ritchey of Ft. Knox.  Mrs. Ritchey has seven great grandchildren.  Three brothers, Enoch Romine of Chicago; Guy D of Alliance and J. Earl Romine of Covington; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Bodine of Robinson, Ill; Mrs. Frances R. Wright of Kansas City, Mo; and Mrs. Julia Van Deventer of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters and a son, George in 1916 in Chadron. Mrs. Ritchey was a member of the Methodist Church of Chadron, Ivy Leaf Chapter No 60, Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors and the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. – kbz
