VEEDERSBURG--- Mrs. Lucinda Roach, 91, widow of Lewis Roach, a farmer of this area, died Saturday afternoon at Home Hospital in Lafayette, where she had been a patient four weeks. She had lived in this community the last 60 years. Mrs. Roach was born near Greencastle July 9, 1867, to James and Barbara Harlan Woodard. She married Mr. Roach Dec. 1, 1891. He died April 1, 1938. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Bullock of Rossville; three sons, Ralph and Edgar of Veedersburg and Raymond of Dinuba, Calif.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Porter of Cayuga. A daughter, Irene, preceded her mother in death. Mrs. Roach was a member of the First Christian Church here. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Fishero Funeral Home. Rev. George Mitchell will officiate and burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
