Attica, Ind Dec 22 – John Roberts, 70, a Warren County citizen, was found dead early Sunday in his little cabin north of Independence by James R. Stacker, Warren Township trustee. The aged man had a bullet wound in his head and is believed to have killed himself. Roberts lived alone during the summer at his cabin and spent the winters at the county farm.  Recently he had been living at the county farm but a few days ago he returned to his cabin and is said to have remarked Saturday that he would kill himself rather than go back to the county institution. A sign on the door of the cabin read, “Look inside,” supposedly written by Roberts. Stacker went in and found the body.  It was removed to the Hamilton Undertaking parlors at Williamsport and Dr. AJ Devenish, Warren County coroner, investigated. Roberts is believed to be survived by a brother and a sister, but their whereabouts is unknown.
