Hoopeston (CNS) — Arrangements are still incomplete pending word from a son in Viet Nam for Emmett Robertson, 72, of Milford. He died at 6:55 a.m. Saturday at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. He died of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was a passenger in the auto driven by his son, Emory Robertson, 25, of Fort Campbell, Ky., who lost control of the auto and crashed into a large stone entrance at Floral Hill Cemetery at 10:15 p.m. Thursday. Born Dec. 16, 1894, in Green County, Ky., Mr. Robertson was the son of Alfa and Katie Robertson. He was married Nov. 24, 1928, at Covington, Ind., to Evelyn Compton, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Emory L., home on leave from the Army after serving in Germany, and Kenneth E., serving in Viet Nam; four daughters, Mrs. Connie Smith of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Maydelle Gibson of Milford, Mrs. Hazel Bane of Buena Park, Calif., and Mrs. Dorothy Gream of Urbana; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Huffman of Kankakee and Mrs. Hazel Jenkins of Powderly, Tex.; and 12 grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister. The body is at the Hamilton Funeral Home.   --waw
