Arnold R. Robertson, 64, of Mellott, was found dead at 6:25 a. m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 1971, at the Hillsboro Rest Park east of boro on State Road 136. He was born Dec. 6, 1901, in Benton County, Indiana, a son of Ward and Edith High Robertson, who survive at Fowler. He was married Sept. 7, 1940 in Attica to Emma Verhey who also survives. Other survivors include two sons: Norman L. of Mellott and Ronald R. of Crawfordsville; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Painter of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Tatlock and Ward Robertson, Jr., both of Oxford, Harold of Otterbein, Mrs. Eunice Jarvis of Shelby, Mich., Preston of Lafayette, Mrs. Naomi Roberts of Monticello, Charles of Valparaiso, Delbert of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Donna Lee Alvarez of Brownsville, Texas. He operated a grocery and service station in Mellott for 11 years, closing out that business in 1967. He retired two month ago from the Hoosier Pete service station at Rob Roy where he had been employed for several months. He was a member of the Locust Grove Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 1971, Rev. George Phelps officiating. Burial in Riverside cemetery. Visitors will be received at the funeral home after 2:00 p. m. on Saturday.   -- typed by Walt W
