Wallace - Delbert RODGERS 33 Rt 1 Hillsboro was found dead in his truck at 7 a.m. Saturday monring. Fountain County Coroner Dr. WC Kinser said Rodgers had taken his own life; death caused by carbon monoxide poisioning. Funeral arragnements are pending at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown.  ---kbz

Wallace - Funeral services for Delbert L. RODGERS 33 of Rt. 1, Hillsboro will be conducated at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wallace Lutheran Church with Rev. John Foxworthy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown and the body will lie in state at the church an hour prior to services. Mr. Rodgers was found dead Saturday by Fountain county Coroner Dr. WC Kinser said death resulted from carbon monoxide poisoning and Rodgers had taken his own life. He was a farmer and truck driver and a life resident of the Wallace area. Until 1971 he had operated the Grace Fertilizer Plant here. He attended Wallace HS. Mr. Rodgers served int he US Army with the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell Ky and was a member of VFW Post 1431 and Moose Lodge of Crawfordsville. Born Sept 2, 1939 at Wallace, he was a son of Glenn and Orvena Harvey Rodgers. On Feb 23, 1957 he was married to Sierra Sue "Terry" Craig of Ladoga. Surviving are his wife, two sons, James Earl and Timothy Lee both at home; two daughters, Lori Made and Glenna Earlene both at home; a brother, Richard of Rt. 1, Hillsboro, a niece and an aunt and several cousins. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, an aunt and four uncles.   --kbz
