COVINGTON – Funeral services for Herbert Rodgers, age 75, a native of Fountain County and brother of Mrs. Vern French of Veedersburg, who died in Ft. Myers, Fla. were held Saturday with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rodgers was born near Covington, the son of Pete and Martha Cronkhite Rodgers. His death was attributed to a heart attack. Surviving are: his wife; two sons, Peter and Herbert, both of Prospect Heights, Ill., and his sister, Mrs. French. Graveside rites were held at 1 p.m. at Rodgers Cemetery, northwest of Covington. The Rev. Charles Williams officiated. – jlr
