COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) – Mrs. Mae Rodgers, 83, of Williamsport Route 2, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday (June 5, 1971) at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville, Ill. where she had been a patient since September. Born May 15, 1888 in Alvin, Ill., she was a daughter of Isaac and Jane Elizabeth Westcott Allison. She was married to Stanley Rodgers Dec. 31, 1919. He survives. Reared in the Alvin area, she lived at the Williamsport address for 51 years. Other survivors are a daughter. Mrs. Martha O’Connell of Danville; three sons, Eugene of Youngstown, Ohio, Herbert P. of Danville and Howard L. of Williamsport Route 2; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with the Rev. Harold Fogle officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. –jlr
