WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. (CNS) —Mrs. Bertha E. Rolan, 76, of Williamsport, died at 8:15 p.m. yesterday (Oct. 24, 1968) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. She had been ill four years. Born July 14, 1892, in the Indian territory now Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Timothy and Nora Ervin Wantland. She came to this area when she was 9-yearsold and vividly remembered the covered wagons and other things of that era. She was a retired restaurant operator and had resided in Fountain and Warren counties for 67 years. She resided in Attica for many years before moving to Williamsport. She was married in 1908 at Covington to Rubin Craft, who died Jan. 1, 1923. On Oct. 1, 1940, she was married to Walter L. Rolan at Williamsport, who survives. She was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Inez Pugh of Attica and Mrs. Paul Utterbach of Crawfordsville; three sons, Merle "Pete" Craft of Attica, Chester Craft of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Lee Craft of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Allen of Attica and Mrs. Eva Miller of Judyville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruby Strum of Hammond; a stepson, Delbert Rolan of Boswell; 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Williamsport Christian Church. The Rev. Norman Able will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The body is at the Crowmer & Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport. Friends will be received after 4 p.m. Saturday.   --typed by Walt W
