Source: The obituary is from a collection of newspaper (paper names not recorded) obituaries saved, by Fauniel Hershberger, during the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Stringtown — Charles Roman, Jr., age 50, died at his home here, Covington Rt. 1, at 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, from a heart attack. He had been in poor health for the past two years. Mr. Roman was born April 5, 1913, at Stringtown, the son of Charles and Anna Pugh Roman. He was married Oct. 7, 1933 to Viola Crowder, who survives. He had been employed at the Harrison Steel Castings Co., in Attica for 23 years. He first served as foreman of the cleaning room area and for the past six weeks in the machine shop. He was a member of Unity Lodge 344, F&AM, of Perrysville, Terre Haute Consistory, Danville GAO Grotto and Swords of Bunker Hill. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Norma VanVactor of Covington: one brother, Gene Roman of Covington Rt. 3; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Graham of Covington, and two grandchildren. Masonic memorial services were conducted Tuesday evening at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 28, at the funeral home. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Serving as pallbearers were: Herman Carland, Harold Anno, Darrell Allen, Kenneth Abernathy, Leroy Crowder and Dewey Froedge.   --typed by Walt W
