COVINGTON — Mrs. Margaret Douglass Romine, 64, wife of J. Carl Romine, died of heart seizure Thursday night in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Channing Smith, at Indianapolis where she had gone for an overnight visit. Born June 1, 1892 in Covington, Mrs. Romine was the daughter of Orlando S. and Kate Fields Douglass. She married J. Carl Romine in 1919. Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Katherine Patterson and Mrs. Dorothy Ellen Smith, both of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, and a brother, Cleland Douglass, Rt. 2, Covington. Mrs. Romine was graduated from the Covington High School in 1912. She was a member of the Covington Methodist Church, WSCS of the church, Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Alpha Gamma Chapter of the Tri Kappa Sorority, Book Lovers Club, Covington Musicale, Woman's Club, and the Wabash Valley Sketch Club. She also was president of the Book Lovers Club. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in the Covington Methodist Church, followed by burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. G. L. Wood Anderson will be the officiating minister. Friends may pay their respects at the family home, 708 E. Liberty St. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services.   --typed by Walt W
