VEEDERSBURG — Kenneth Richard Ross, 67, Veedersburg, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2003 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He was born in Walsh Colo. April 14, 1936, the son of Charles Morgan and Lillian Hurst Ross. He married Betsy Diane Farley July 3, 1977 in Norfolk, Va. She survives. He was raised and educated in Colorado, graduating from Del Norte High School. He had lived in Veedersburg since 1979. He served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years. He was stationed at Norfolk, Va. He served during both the Korean and Viet Nam Conflicts. Upon his discharge from the service he had worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica. He had attended the Sterling Christian Church. He was an avid Nascar fan and Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver. He loved fishing and camping. Survivors, besides the wife, include: his mother, Lillian H. Raber, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sons, Kenneth R. (Imelda) Ross, Jr. Virginia Beach, Va. and Terry Vernon Ross and Roy Patrick Ross, both of Veedersburg; a sister, Sharon (Douglas) Virgin, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two grandsons, Jeremy and Kenneth Ryan Ross. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Charles Patrick Ross. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday in Sterling Christian Church, Veedersburg, with the Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial with military services were in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, was in charge of arrangements. – jlr
