ROTH, Eugene

Eugene P. Roth, 73, of Danville,
Ill., died at 9:44 p.m. Monday, March 8, 1999 at Provena USMC, Logan Campus.
Born on June 29, 1915 in Danville, he was the son of Fredrick O. and Pauline
(Welsch) Roth. He married Laura M. Tracy on April 23, 1949 at St. Patrick's
Church in Danville. She survives. Also surviving, are: a son, Steven G. Roth of
Springfield, Ill.; two daughters, LuAnn (Robert) Vickery of Covington, and
Marsha L. (Dan) Darson of Liberty Township, Ohio; one brother, Daniel
(Josephine) Roth of Danville; one sister, Rosemary (Connie) Beightler of
Danville; seven grandchildren, Jason, Brad, David and Aaron Vickery, Kyle Roth
and Alison and Daniel Carson Jr. He was preceded in death by one brother and
one sister. Mr. Roth was retired from Teepak. He was a member of Holy Family
Church, where he was a trustee and usher. He was a member of the Knights of
Columbus #754, where he was a 3rd and 4th degree. He was a member of American
Legion Post #210. He enjoyed sports and truly loved his family and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday at Lakeside Funeral Chapel with wake at 7 p.m. Service
on Thursday at Holy Family Church with Rev. Ted Pracz officiating. Interment in
Resurrection Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #210. – jlr
