Veedersburg – Mrs. Christel E. Royal, 53, wife of Clinton C. Royal died of a heart attack in the family home near here at 2:05 Sunday.  A native of Newtown, she was graduated from HS there and was married in 1932. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Covington. Surviving with the husband are two sons, Gerald of Attica and Ronald of Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Hardy of Rt 3, Covington; her stepmother, Mrs. Mary Jones of Newtown; a brother, Paul Jones of near Lafayette and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Miller of Rob Roy.

Veedersburg, Ind. (CNS) -- Mrs. Christel E. Royal, 52, a resident of Veedersburg Route 4 for the past 10 years, died at 2:05 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 13, 1964) at her home following a heart attack. Born Dec. 22, 1911, at Newtown, Ind., she was the daughter of Orville and Linne Schultz Jones. She was married Jan. 30, 1932, to Clinton C. Royal, who survives. Mrs. Royal was a life resident of Fountain County. They had farmed several years north of Covington before moving to their present home. She was a graduate of the Newtown High. She was a member of the Covington First Baptist Church and the Missionary Society. Other survivors include two sons, Gerald of Attica and Donald of Fort Benjamin Harrison; a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Hardy of Covington Route 3; her stepmother, Mrs. Mary Jones of Newtown; a brother, Paul of Lafayette rural route; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Miller of Rob Roy, and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Covington First Baptist Church. The Rev. Glenn Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. Friends will be received after noon Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. The family has requested that memorials be in the form of donations to the missionary fund at the church.   --typed by Walt W
