STONE BLUFF – Charles Gale Rucker, 42, of Cortland, Ind., died January 16, at Schenck Memorial Hospital at Seymour, following an illness of four months due to cancer. He was a son-in-law of Rev. and Mrs. Earl Carmichael, Pastor of the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church, and former pastor of the Brady United Methodist Church at Attica. Mr. Rucker was born in Jackson County October 26, 1927, the son of Ralph and Josie Goss Rucker. On December 1, 1950, be was married to Carol Carmichael at Freetown. He was an active member of the Acme United Methodist Church where he had held several offices prior to his illness. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Rucker had been employed with Hamilton Cosco at Columbus for 20 years. He is survived by the widow; four daughters, Rita Gail, Nita Kaye, Peggy Lou and Karen Sue, all at home; his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Layton (Avanell) Roberts of Cortland and Mrs. Victor (Kathleen– Terkhorn of Seymour; and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Goss of Cortland. Funeral services were Sunday, January 18, at the Voss Chapel with the Rev. Marion Chappel and the Rev. Nelson Lee officiating. Burial was in the Acme Cemetery.   -– jlr
