PERRYSVILLE — Miss Ada Runyon, age 81, a former resident of Danville Rt. 1, and an aunt of Mrs. G. Lucille Snoddy of Perrysville, died at 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at the Danville Care Nursing Home where she had been a patient since Nov. 1, 1966. She had been in ill health since August of 1966. She was born Sept. 21, 1896, near Fairmount, Ill., the daughter of Eli Anderson and Dora Jane Allman Runyon. Her family moved to the Danville area when she was a child and she attended Danville rural schools and Eastern Illinois University at Charleston. She then taught school at Sheridan, Ill., and Allerton until 1923. Surviving are: one sister, Miss Dewey Alice Runyon of Danville Rt. 1; two nephews, Edwin K. Allen of Newport and Donald E. Allen of Graenada, West Indies, and two nieces, Mrs. Snoddy of Perrysville and Mrs. Adeline Hageman of Danville. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Lincoln Methodist Church in Danville. The Rev. Patrick Flaherty officiated and burial was in Davis Cemetery at Fairmount. The Pape Funeral Home of Danville was in charge of arrangements.   --typed by Walt W
