Attica, Ind March 14 – Rites for Major Archie K. Rupert, retired, a world war veteran will be held here Sunday conducted by the Attica American Legion Post of which he was a pst commander. Major Rupert died Friday. Major Rupert was an expert rifle and pistol shot and coached Indiana University teams while he was on service there with the ROTC. A native here, he returned to this city in 1936 to live when he retired. A son, Thomas Rupert, an Indiana University student is the only survivor. Major Rupert was graduated from IU in 1904 and was a Beta Theta Pi.
