RUSK, Burton Dennis - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

WAYNETOWN -- Burton D. (Burt) Rusk, 91, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where he was taken after suffering a heart attack Sunday at his home here. Born July 3, 1875, three miles northwest of Waynetown in Fountain County, he was a son of Dennis and Margaret Hall Rusk. He was married Dec. 23, 1897, to Blanche Sloan, who died in 1964. Mr. Rusk was a member of the Christian Church and a 60-year member of the IOOF Lodge here. He was engaged in early life in farming and later in the hardware business, then was employed at the R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., until his retirement. Survivors include a son, Merle Rusk of South Bend; a grandson, Eddie Rusk, in the U.S. Army; a granddaughter, Patricia Ann Rusk of Chicago and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Wednesday at Servies Funeral Home here, with interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Rev. John Servies will officiate, assisted by Rev. Morris Finch.
