Cecil C. Rusk, who was 67 on New Years, died about 8:30 Monday morning at Culver where he had been a patient since Dec 24, suffering with pneumonia. Mr. Rusk, father of Dr. Hubert Morgan Rusk of Wallace, had been living with his son and daughter-in-law there since in the fall. Previously, for nearly half a century, he had resided on his farm, 3 mi North of Marshall. Born near Waveland, Mr. R. was the son of William T and Martha J. pioneers in Brown Township. His wife, who was Miss Mary Morgan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Morgan, of Wallace, died 9 years ago. Mr. Rusk was a member of the Presbyterian church at Marshall. He is survived by two sons, and two grandsons. The other son, Russell A. Rusk, is an assistant in the laboratory at Penn State College, Pa. Grandsons are Malcolm Rusk, son of Dr & Mrs Rusk at Wallace and Barton Rusk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rusk. The body was taken Monday afternoon to the home of his son in Wallace where it remained until the hour of the funeral. - kbz
