RUSK, Walter U. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Walter U. Rusk of Huntington, a native and former resident of Waynetown and brother of Miss Esther Rusk of Hillsboro Rt. 1, died suddenly Friday morning, Sept. 23, at the age of 66. He was born near Waynetown on Dec. 12, 1899, the son of Willard and Hattie Campbell Rusk. He was a graduate of the Waynetown High School and Purdue University. He served as county agricultural agent in Huntington and Blackford counties. He was married to Fay Shumaker of Lafayette. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Huntington. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Orr of Huntington; one son, Donald of Boynton, Fla., and the sister, Miss Rusk. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at Huntington with burial in a Huntington cemetery.
