Newtown – Mrs. Joy Simpson, former resident of Newtown, is dead at Uvalde, Texas of tuberculosis according to word received here by a brother, James E. Ogle. The deceased was born near Newtown May 7, 1885 and was a daughter of Samuel and Henrietta McClure Ogle. Surviving are the husband, Bert Simpson with four children, Jean, Ruth, James and Robert. The funeral and burial were held Wednesday at Uvalde. – kbz
