COVINGTON, Ind. – Mrs. Pearl Anne Simpson, 78, of 719 Third, Covington, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday (May 25, 1970) at her residence. She had been in ill health for some time. Mr. Simpson was born May 13, 1892, in Covington, daughter of Riley and Cora Remster Morris. She was married to Riffle Simpson, who died. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Goldie Louise Cranmore of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and three brothers, James Morris, Max Morris and Leslie Morris, all of Covington. She also was preceded in death by a brother. Mrs. Simpson had resided at Ft. Lauderdale until her return to Covington four years ago. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Ft. Lauderdale. The body will be taken to Indianapolis, Ind., for cremation. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be at a later date with interment at the Prescott Cemetery in Covington. Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Cancer Society. – jlr
