COVINGTON — Mayme Sisk, 83, died unexpectedly Friday, October 5, 2001 at St. Clare Medical Center in Crawfordsville having been ill for the past year. She was born near Covington on January 22, 1918 the daughter of Amos and Elizabeth Burnison Martin. Mayme married Raymond F. Sisk April 30, 1935 at Danville, Ill. and he died June 16, 1984. She was a 1935 graduate of Covington High School and was a life resident of the Covington area, living near State Line for many years. Her membership include Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a life member of the State Line United Methodist Church and had been attending the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Danville. Surviving are a daughter Beverly (John) Bromley of Danville, Ill.; a sister Betty (Charles) West of Beverly Hills, Fla.; two grandsons Alan (Tammy) Middletown of Ocoe, Fla., and Eric (Sally) Middleton of Williamsport, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including Jane (Ron) Colson of Hillsboro, Peggy Kenworthy of Williamsport, Michael (Brenda) Alberich of Ft. Rucker, Al., Joe (Joyce) Alberich of Danville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Shelby Funeral Home with Rev. Jack A. Cramer-Heuerman officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitations were from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. – jlr
