Attica, Feb 2. – James Oscar Slauter, 67, employed by the Harrison Steel Castings Company for 29 years, died at 7 this morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Born in Warren County Dec 25, 1872, he came to Attica in 1910. On Feb 10, 1895 he married Stella Delaney who survives with six children: Mrs. Mae Swank, Mrs. Edgar Hageman and William all of Attica; Leroy, Newtown; Charles, Jamestown and Junior at home. He belonged to the Red Men and UB Church. Funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Christian Church. Ernest Ferguson, Undertaker is in charge. - kbz
