Mrs. Lennie L. Smail, 55, died at her home in Covington
early Sunday morning after being ill for the past 5 years. She was
born July 4, 1894 in Vermillion County, daughter of Lous B. and Mary Gouty
Holycross She
was married January 24, 1914 to Sherman Smail, who survives.
Also surviving is the father and five children, Mrs. Fauniel
Furr, Creve Couer, Ill; Mrs. Constance Coffman, Crawfordsville; Gene and
William, Covington and Anita, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Nadine
Holder and Mrs.
Berdilla Brakley, Covington; Mrs. Mary Boggs, Veedersburg;
Mrs. Eileen Lape, Indianapolis; and Mrs. Nellie Holder, Hammond; a
brother, Richard Holycross of Covington and two grandchildren.
She was a member of the Christian Church and the Builders
Sunday School class.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the
Covington Christian Church with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. --- kbz
