New Richmond—Russell Small, 87, Route 1, New Richmond, died at 12:35 a.m. Monday, Aril 3, 1989 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville.
He was born Feb. 27, 1902, the son of Gibson and Cora Evans Small in the rural home where he spent his life. He was married Nov. 22, 1924 to Ida Willis of New Richmond, who survives.
He retired from farming in 1967. He was a member of Jackson Heights United Methodist Church.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Robert G., Wingate; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home Chapel, Waynetown with Junior Hass officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery, north of Wingate. -s
