Mrs. Alberta Josephine Smith, widow of the late Frank Smith of Veedersburg died Sunday in the hospital at Lafayette after being critically ill for several days. She had made her home in Lafayette for the past two years with her son, William West, until her health failed several months ago at which time she entered a nursing home.
She was born in Delphi, Ind on Aug 17, 1870 the daughter of Sol G. and May Gee Smith. She was married to Frank Smith of Veedersburg and made her home here for many years.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Fishero Funeral Home with Rev. JC Shrigely officiating. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. --- transcribed by kbz
